Highbury Fields competition win
We’re thrilled to have won an invited competition run by Islington Council to improve the buildings on Highbury Fields.
We know the fields well – with our director Tim living nearby and making full use of the facilities with his three young sons – and while there’s much to love, there’s also plenty of scope to make the resources even better for the local community.
The buildings under consideration include the existing Oasis Café, a bandstand that hosts a daily One O’Clock Club for under-fives, and a derelict park keeper’s cottage. Whether they’ll be refurbished, re-sited or combined is undecided at this stage, but we’re very much looking forward to working with the council and local stakeholders to find the best solution to bring out that potential.
