Planning approved for Devon ice cream parlour
After a lengthy planning process, we have won approval for a new permanent ice cream parlour, café and shop for our client Otter Valley Dairy (who were recently included in the Daily Telegraph’s list of Britain’s best ice cream parlours).
The dairy has – until now – sold its ice creams from two summerhouses, which have to be wheeled out and put away each day during the selling season.
The plans are for four new buildings, which step to fit the contours of the site and use timber, corrugated metal and flint to merge with the surrounding landscape, while taking full advantage of the spectacular views out over the Otter Valley.
